My 99th post was 1 year ago yesterday. It was from NaBloPoMo, and it was about where I would like to live. (I meant to post it yesterday, haha)
My choices of where I wanted to live most were Colorado or Washington. Those are still at the top of my list, but after my vacation this year I think I'll have to add a small coastal town to the list.
I would love to be able to sink my toes into the warm sand anytime I want, or take a walk in the foamy surf. I really loved just sitting on the beach listening to the waves pound the beach. The wind would kick up and blow the salty air through my hair.
But I would also love to take a short drive and have a picnic lunch at a small mountain lake. Beautiful.
Maybe I should just move to Northern California where I can have beaches and mountains or even redwood forests. Unfortunately, they have earthquakes, so maybe not.
I guess there really is no perfect place. They all have their drawbacks, so when I win the lottery I'll buy a house in each place and just travel back and forth all the time.
It's always nice to dream about where you want to be, but when you're buried under a current mortgage and mountain of debt like I am, you're happy just to be. And I am. Just happy to be.
