Since I didn't post anything in September I'll try to give you a quick rundown of what's been going on.
We got back from vacation and immediately jumped back into work. We have been swamped since coming back, and it doesn't look like it's going to let up any time soon. It really sucks. The few good things are that we got our annual raises on this weeks paycheck. It was a pretty good raise as usual. I also have my 4 remaining vacation days scheduled for the last 4 work days of the year. Combined with Christmas holiday and New Year's, that will give me just over a week off. Here's a picture from our last morning in Florida.
G and I had to finally break down and buy a car the week after we got back. We were looking for a newer used car, but decided that if we were going to spend that much money we might as well get a new car. And I got to choose it. We ended up with a 2013 Hyundai Elantra. I'm in love with it.
About 2 years ago my aunt became a paraplegic due to an abscess on her spine. We have been trying to raise money to get her a handicap accessible van, but we haven't been having much luck.
A member of our family will post it on facebook every few days asking for help, a dollar here or there, or even just to share it so we can get the word out, but so far, nada. All these people that I thought were my friends can't even spare the time to share the post. It's sad and unfortunate. My aunt is home bound due to lack of transportation, she lives with my elderly grandparents who are her main caretakers, and their primary income is social security and disability. There is no way they can afford a van. We contribute as much to the fund as we can, but at the rate we're going, it won't happen in my aunt's lifetime.
I know I don't know any of you personally, and I don't expect anything, but if any of you could spare a dollar or 2 it would be greatly appreciated. If you can't spare any money maybe you could do a short blog post to share this website. That would also be greatly appreciated.
Winna Wilson Transportation Fund
We rented a van to take my aunt out for the day and it cost us $ for just a few hours. Medicare won't provide medical transport for her anymore, so she has to ride in her wheelchair 4 miles down a busy road to get to her doctor's appointment.
On to other news. I wasn't very diligent about taking my pregnitude last cycle. It was annovulatory. I also didn't take the evening primrose oil because I've heard mixed reviews about women with PCOS taking it. AF started today so I'm trying to make sure I get in the pregnitude, but I'm still unsure about adding the EPO back in. Does anyone have any info on PCOSers taking this?
Has anyone checked out the Health Insurance Marketplace yet? It took about a week before I could even create an account without the site going down. I have an account now, but I really can't get past that. I'm just curious about what the rates are like on the gold and platinum plans. Anyone have any details on that?
I guess this wasn't really that short, but there you go, lol.
