"Sofa Beds are the Devil Bobby Boucher!"
On the 11th it started to snow. I know you are thinking "big whoop" but the last time I remember snow was 6 years ago on Valentine's Day. I am working on my photography skills so I wanted to share my pictures with you and get your opinion on them. I am also going to tell you the story of our Snow Day.
It started snowing that Thursday afternoon. By 10pm this is what it looked like:
Luckily I don't usually work on Fridays so when I woke up this is what I got to see:
I walked around for hours taking pictures. This is some of what I got.
Around 9am that Friday morning the power went out. And it stayed out. For 40 hours. Luckily we have a fireplace that we had going for hours to stay warm. We decided to sleep on the sofa bed that night so we could sleep where the warmth was. Bad idea. Even if you think that since your sofa bed has never been used so surely it is comfortable, I promise you it is not. My body ached so bad the next day I could barely move. And of course the power was out so I couldn't even get a hot bath to try and ease my muscles. About 24 hrs after the power went out my parents remembered the extra generator they have in the horse trailer. It was great because I could plug in the electric blanket and the tv in the bedroom and just veg out and actually sleep in my own bed. The power came back on sometime early the next morning, but I was asleep so I didn't even notice. It was such a terrible experience.
It started to snow again yesterday and I was so paranoid of a repeat performance. Luckily it only snowed for a few hours and it didn't stick. One day of snow every 6 years is plenty for me.
So let me know what you think of the pictures and if you want me to post some more. I have some from Christmas and some from some of my vacations I can show you if you want.
